How big is your family? Are there more than three persons? Mine consists of five people and me. It is not so terrifying, but cooking for all of us is my duty. That’s why I turned to be a menu. I look through notes in my head and find first of all nutritious dishes there. All mixes with meat are ideal variants. If I face anywhere such a dish, I write down in my cookbook and get “armed” with one more recipe. When we are going to have guests at home, my notebook that is in my head, is not enough. Then I search the internet and it always gratifies me. [/su_column] [/su_row] The recipe I found on this blog seems to be simple at first sight. But there is a white sauce for this dish that makes the taste so rich. It changes the taste of classical combination of potatoes and pork chops to refined. The seasoning makes the flavor fantastic and unforgettable. If taste a piece, you won’t be able to refuse from some more. What is really important for me in this dish – it is very nutritious.
Cook it for a party and you will get a festive dish, make the chops by this recipe for your lovely family and they will be full and happy. You will win any way.

Ingredients
  1. potatoes (peeled and sliced ¼ thick) – 6 medium pieces
  2. onion (sliced thinly into half rings) – 1\2 medium piece
  3. pork chops (center cut ½ inch thick) – 5 pieces
  4. flour – 1 cup
  5. Salt and pepper – to taste
  6. creole seasoning or seasoned salt
  7. vegetable oil – 2 tablespoons
White Sauce
  1. 1 butter – 1 stick
  2. flour – 1\2 cup
  3. salt – 1-2 teaspoon (to your taste)
  4. pepper – 1\2-3\4 teaspoon
  5. milk – 4 cups
Instructions
  1. Make layers in a large casserole dish: half of the potatoes and half of the onion. Add salt and pepper. Make layers with the other half of potatoes and onions, sprinkle salt and pepper.
  2. Make the white sauce: melt the butter in a large saucepan. Stir in flour, add salt and pepper when heat is turned off.
  3. Turn on heat again (over medium), pour in milk, 1 cup at a time. Boil stirring frequently. Let it simmer 1 to 2 minutes, having reduced heat. Sauce will thicken. Then leave it for a minute.
  4. Cover potatoes with the sauce and bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven to 350 degrees, uncovered.
  5. During the potatoes cooking, season pork chops with seasoned salt (or creole seasoning) . Deepen pork chops in flour a little. Fry to lightly brown in vegetable oil, not cook them completely.
  6. Take potatoes out from oven and put pork chops on top of potatoes that are removed from the pan. Settle pork chops until they all fit.
  7. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. The sauce will be bubbly and so good after baking under the pork chops! Serve with a vegetable side. Enjoy!

I was really disappointed when Japanese cuisine became a trend. I always loved this country, its traditions and cuisine and suddenly everyone paid attention to the same things just because of the fashion for all Japanese. Well, let it be. I don’t follow the rules of fashion; I was in love with these things long ago. The only thing is good in this situation – the recipes of Japanese dishes are not a problem to be found in the internet. So, I can cook everything I tasted at restaurants before.Recently I faced a recipe of a dish with use of teriyaki sauce. It was on this food blog not much time ago.
[/su_column] [/su_row]At first I sighed deeply, being sure that was a stupid remake of some Japanese dish. No, I was very wrong! The description of the ingredients and making persuaded me that it must be a great meat dish. By the way, my husband asked about some yummy (he means meat dishes only) at weekend. So, that recipe was very handy.I did it. I cooked those grilled pork chops with teriyaki sauce and pineapples. It was a real party for both of us. The taste of this dish doesn’t resemble anything. It is original and incredible! If you have party cook these chops and your guests will be absolutely delighted. If don’t have a special date or occasion cook it for your family and you will become the goddess of cooking for them. Just don’t tell anybody that it was easy for you to cook it because it is really true.

Ingredients
  1. Orange juice – 1\3 cup
  2. Soy sauce (less sodium) – 2 Tbsp.
  3. Rice vinegar – 1 Tbsp.
  4. brown sugar – 1 Tbsp.
  5. ground ginger – 1\2 tsp.
  6. onion (powder) – 1\2 tsp.
  7. Garlic (powder) – 1\2 tsp.
  8. Boneless pork chops, trimmed of fat – 4 pieces of 4 oz.
  9. Cornstarch – 2 tsp.
  10. pineapple rings (sliced thick) – 4 pieces
Instructions
  1. For the marinade blend together the orange juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, ground ginger, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  2. Put the pork chops in a large bag (resealable one) and cover with marinade. Seal the bag and put it in the refrigerator for 2 hours or the whole night.
  3. Replace the pork chops to a flat dish. Pour the marinade out into a small saucepan.
  4. Dissolve the cornstarch into 2 teaspoons of cold water in a separate small dish. Make slurry and leave aside.
  5. Bring the marinade to a boil in a small saucepan. Reduce the heat to low and add the cornstarch slurry. Whisk together for 2 minutes until the sauce gets thick and take away from heat; put aside. This marinade sauce will be necessary while you are grilling the pork chops and pineapple.

  7. Put the pork chops on the grill and brush thick with marinade sauce while cooking. Cook the pork chops on each side for 4 to 5 minutes.
  8. Put the pineapple slices to the grill too and cook for 1 to 2 minutes on both sides.
  9. Leave the pork chops to rest for 2 to 4 minutes before serving.
