The day I cooked these fantastic chicken wings will be remembered by my kids forever. Having found the recipe here I couldn’t wait to put it to use. Our family planned a picnic in a forest for the day, even sport games there were in our activities list. My children adore badminton and I was sure they would be playing it as much as they would be able to withstand running and jumping and I can’t say that my husband and me wouldn’t join playing. So we needed to have a good supply of food for such a long and eventful day. And I remembered that recipe of wings. It was interesting to try such an unusual way of cooking – shaking ingredients in bags is really new for my experience. Baking after that is much better than roasting of course. [/su_column] [/su_row] We had a lot of different snacks with us in the forest, but my family couldn’t stop eating chicken wings after sports. The wings were really perfect and now I am going to cook them for our family weekend at home. I am sure that this dish will remind us good time and inspire for another picnic.

Ingredients
  1. chicken wings - 20 pieces
  2. all-purpose flour – 3\4 cup
  3. salt – 1\2 tsp.
  4. pepper - 1\2 tsp.
  5. Hot sauce, divided into 3\4 cup & 1 Tbsp.
  6. vegetable oil – 1 Tbsp.
  7. cayenne pepper – 1\2 tsp.
  8. garlic powder – 1\2 tsp.
  9. butter (melted) – 1\2 cup (1 stick)
Instructions
  1. Preheated oven to 400 F
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil. Set a wire rack on the baking sheet and cover it with cooking spray.
  3. Shake the salt, pepper, 1 tablespoon hot sauce, and vegetable oil in a plastic bag to mix. Add the chicken wings to this mixture and seal. Shake for 2 minutes to coat well.
  4. Put the flour with cayenne pepper and garlic powder into another zip lock bag – shake it too. Remove the chicken wings from the first bag to the second one and shake well. Put the wings on the prepared rack and place it in the fridge for an hour.
  5. Melt butter in microwave. Add to the hot sauce and mix. Dip the wings into this mixture and put back on the rack. Bake for about one hour. Turn the chicken wings in the middle of cooking.
  6. Serve with blue cheese or celery sticks.

Does it happen to you that you want to eat something new, special and it is not a chocolate? It is that what didn’t leave me along during a week last month. I sorted out in my head all possible variants, but I wasn’t able to understand what was necessary for my taste buds and stomach. The workweek was very hard and I needed very nutritious products for each meal. The desire of some unknown dish was growing. I had to solve this annoying problem.
The decision was quite simple – the internet should help me. I was surfing and searching a recipe that would save me. It happened on this blog – burritos – yes, exactly! I was amazed with the ingredients – it was enough to read the directions to swallow my salivating.
[/su_column] [/su_row]I ran to a shop and bought missing products to start cooking the earlier the better. Mixing chicken with cheese and avocado, I tasted the mixture – it was fantastic and I rushed to finish.
When I bit the first piece of burritos, I felt deep relief. So wanted dish was so easy to cook. I also treated my friend who came to visit me and she was amazed with such a brilliant idea that I got in the internet. Now I know what to cook when I get puzzled with unclear wishes of my stomach.

  1. chicken (cooked with 1 Tablespoon of mustard, 1 Tablespoon of olive oil; and shredded) – 2 cups
  2. cheese (grated) – 1 cup
  3. avocado(diced) – 1 piece
  4. cilantro (chopped) – 2 Tbsp.
  5. tortillas – 4 large pieces
  6. sour cream – 4 Tbsp.
  7. oil – 1 Tbsp.
Instructions
  1. Put chicken breast in a skillet with hot oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper and fry for about 5 minutes on each side. Spread 1-tablespoon mustard over the chicken, pour about ¼-cup water add cook with a lid covered for a few more minutes.
  2. Shred the cooked chicken into thin strings.
  3. Mix the shredded chicken, cheese, the diced avocados and cilantro
  4. Smear 1-tablespoon sour cream over each tortilla, add ¼ of the mixture and make a roll.
  5. Heat 1-tablespoon oil in a pan and put all four tortillas on the pan, cook for 2 minutes on medium- high heat on each side until the tortillas are golden.
  6. Serve warm.

  1. Chicken( cooked and chopped) – 2 cups
  2. Butter – 4 Tbsp
  3. Chopped onion – 1\4 cup
  4. Chopped celery – 1\4 cup
  5. Chopped carrot – 1\4 cup
  6. Salt – 1\4 tsp
  7. Flour – 2 Tbsp
  8. Milk – 2 cups
  9. heavy cream – 1\2 cup
  10. chicken base - 1 tsp
  11. Peas(frozen) – 1\2 cup
  12. fresh thyme - 1\2 tsp
  13. frozen puff pastry – 1 sheet
  14. 1 egg(beaten with a fork)
Instructions
  1. Let puff pastry to melt at room temperature and then unfold it gently.
  2. Melt butter in a large bowl over medium high heat.
  3. Add all the vegetables and fry until they start to get tender.
  4. Cook for 1-2 minutes more with flour sprinkled over.
  5. Little by little whisk in milk, heavy cream and chicken base, and boil slowly.
  6. Stew gently over medium heat - let sauce begin to thicken (5 minutes).
  7. Add chicken, peas and thyme on low heat.
  8. Have oven preheated to 400 degrees.
  9. Pour chicken mixture into a square baking dish.
  10. Cut 12 equal strips of pastry.
  11. Form a lattice of puff pastry strip over the chicken mixture.
  12. Brush egg onto the top of the puff pastry with a pastry brush.
  13. Bake for 30-35 minutes. See a deep golden brown color of puff pastry.
  14. Take the pie out of the oven and cool during 5 minutes. You can serve it now.

Ingredients
  1. 2 tbsp olive oil
  2. 1 pound chicken (breasts or tenders)
  3. 1 tsp paprika
  4. 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  5. 5 medium tomatoes, chopped in cubes
  6. 1 cup cooked spinach
  7. 5 garlic cloves, minced
  8. 1 tbsp crushed red pepper
  9. 6 bacon strips, cooked and chopped
  10. 1 and 1/3 cups half and half
  11. 1 and 1/3 cups Parmesan cheese, shredded
  12. 10 ounces penne pasta
  13. 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated, for serving
Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat 2 tbsp olive oil over high heat. Once hot, add chicken and cook on high heat for 1 minute per side. Sprinkle each side with paprika and Italian seasoning. Reduce to medium, cover with lid and cook until completely done. Remove chicken from skillet and keep it warm. Slice into thin strips.
  2. Combine chopped tomatoes, spinach, garlic, crushed red pepper, 1/3 of the chicken, and half the bacon in the same skillet. Stir to combine.
  3. Add half and half and bring to a boil. Then add grated Parmesan and immediately reduce to simmer. Stir occasionally, until the cheese melts, about 1 minute. Remove from heat. Adjust red pepper and salt, if desired.
  4. Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling water according to instructions. Drain and rinse pasta under the running cold water and drain again.
  5. Add cooked pasta and remaining bacon to the skillet with the sauce.
  6. Serve pasta topped with remaining chicken strips and grated Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients
  1. 6 large bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  2. 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  3. 1/4 cup soy sauce
  4. 1/2 cup honey
  5. 2 tbsp olive oil
  6. 4 garlic cloves, minced
  7. 2 tsp fresh ginger, minced
  8. 2 tbsp scallions, chopped
  9. 1/2 tsp salt
  10. 1 tbsp cornstarch
Instructions
  1. In a large zip-lock bag, mix the balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, honey, olive oil, garlic, ginger, scallions and salt. Add chicken thighs, zip up the bag, and gently shake the bag so that the chicken is evenly coated. Place in the refrigerator and marinate for at least 2 hours to overnight.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  3. Remove thighs from bag, reserving the marinade. Discard any excess marinade and arrange thighs skins down on the foil-lined baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven and flip chicken thighs. Turn heat up to broil, and set rack so it is about 8″ from the broiler. Return chicken to the oven and broil for about 5 minutes or until the skins are nicely browned.
  5. Mix the cornstarch with 2 tbsp water. Transfer the marinade to a medium saucepan and bring to boil, then add cornstarch mixture and cook, whisking occasionally, until syrup consistency, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  6. Remove chicken from the oven, brush with the honey balsamic glaze and serve immediately.

Ingredients
  1. 2 pounds chicken breasts, cut into cubes
  2. 8 large potatoes, cut into cubes
  3. 1/3 cup olive oil
  4. 1 1/2 tsp salt
  5. 1 tbsp ground pepper
  6. 1 tbsp paprika
  7. 2 tbsp garlic powder
  8. 6 tbsp hot sauce
  9. 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  10. 1 cup bacon, crumbled
  11. 1 cup green onion, sliced
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 500 F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine olive oil with salt, freshly ground pepper, paprika, garlic powder and hot sauce.
  3. Add potatoes to the bowl and gently toss.
  4. Spray casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  5. Place potatoes into the casserole dish, do not get rid of the excess sauce.
  6. Bake potatoes for 45 minutes, tossing them every 15 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, marinate chicken in the bowl with sauce.
  8. In separate bowl, combine cheddar, bacon and green onions.
  9. Add chicken to the casserole dish with already baked potatoes, then top with cheese, bacon and onion mix.
  10. Bake for another 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Spending time in the kitchen, I mean cooking is my nightmare. Though, laziness and idleness are not about me at all. The reason is exactly my endless busyness. Instructions
  1. Cook rice according to package instructions to get 3 cups of prepared rice.
  2. In a large skillet heat sesame oil on medium heat.
  3. Put in vegetables. Fry, stirring to make them tender.
  4. Add cracked eggs into pan and scramble, combining with vegetables.
  5. Put rice, chicken, and soy sauce to the pan with vegetables and eggs. Stir in soy sauce and take away from heat.

Ingredients
  1. 1/3 cup yellow cornmeal
  2. 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  3. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  4. 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, or more to taste
  5. 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  6. Handful of parsley, finely chopped
  7. 1/3 cup milk
  8. 2 cups grilled corn (or if you don't want to grill yours you can use regular corn kernels)
  9. Vegetable oil
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl whisk together cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, and parsley. Add milk and mix together with a wooden spoon until thick and thoroughly mixed through. Add the grilled corn and mix well with the flour mixture until all the kernels are well-coated.
  2. Heat up a skillet over medium high heat and add some vegetable oil to the pan.
  3. Using a 1/3 cup measuring cup, scoop corn mixture out and place into the skillet, gently pressing the mound down so it's flattened. Cook for 5 minutes on one side, or until it's browned, flip, and cook another 5 minutes, or until it's browned. Remove and repeat for all the other corn fritters.
  4. Serve immediately.
Notes
  1. These grilled corn fritters are best eaten the day of but can be kept in the refrigerator for one day. Any longer then it's not as good so eat them up!

Do you want to surprise your family or your guests with a new refined dish?I wanted to and moreover I had to invent a special menu for our wedding anniversarys. Many-many years ago our first date took place at an Italian restaurant. I can hardly remember the food we had there, but the cuisine was Italian of course. Even my husband remembers that. So, with a little bit of searching I found the perfect recipe to make in this blog. Most home chefs know of the famous Caprese salad, but I thought Caprese chicken to be a rare find. The name of the dish seemed charming and the easy recipe inspired me to cook it.

There were some other dishes on our table this night but the caprese chicken brought back memories of our first date like they were yesterday. The taste will make you think are eating at a local restaurant in Italy. If you like Italian dishes or grilled food, you will fall in love with this basil smelling fantastic chicken.

Ingredients
  1. chicken breasts (boneless) – 1 pieces
  2. fresh mozzarella – 4 slices
  3. tomato – 4 slices
  4. salt & pepper
  5. Fresh basil (chop it) – 2 Tbsp.
  6. balsamic vinegar – 1\3 cup
Instructions
  1. Add salt and pepper on each side of chicken put it on hot grill. Cook chicken on grill for about 7 to 9 minutes on both sides or until cooked through.
  2. While meat is being grilled heat balsamic vinegar in a small sauce pan and let it begin to boil. Decrease heat and leave it below the boiling point for about 10-15 minutes, stirring all the time. The amount of vinegar will reduce and get thickened.
  3. Oil the sliced tomatoes with olive oil and put them on the hot grill. Cook for about 1-2 minutes on both sides.
  4. When chicken is done leave it on the grill and put1 slice of mozzarella on top. Add cooked tomato and basil.
  5. Place on a large dish and sprinkle with balsamic reduction.

There is a trend towards healthy food in the world now and I couldn’t be happier about it. I’ve been trying to follow this way of life since I was a teenager where myself and many friends struggled with weight problems. Through trial and error, we discovered a healthy diet kept us in much better shape. The drawback was our healthy food didn’t always taste all that great. Nowhere was this so obvious than when comparing our healthy alternative to a dish that was normally fried. Until now! I just came across this website sharing a great way to prepare chicken fingers without the need to fry them.

Not expecting much, I followed the simple recipe and baked a masterpiece, far from the simple chicken I was expecting. I cooked a vegetable salad to garnish and my family was delighted with such a dinner. The crunchy pieces of chicken were melting in our mouths. Try it for yourself!

Ingredients
  1. Low-calorie mayonnaise – 1\4 cup
  2. Mustard (Dijon) – 1 teaspoon
  3. Lemon zest (grate it) – 2 teaspoons
  4. Chicken without skin ( cut into eighths) – 3 1\2 lb
  5. Salt – 1\2 teaspoon
  6. Hot pepper sauce – 4 drops
  7. Corn flakes cereals, crumbs – 3\4 cup
Instructions
  1. Oven temperature - 375 degrees (preheat to it). Use non stick spray to cook in a large baking pan.
  2. Put all ingredients except chicken and corn flakes in a large bowl and whisk them together. Then add the chicken and roll in the mixture.
  3. Put the crumbs into a large bag with a zip lock, and add the chicken one piece at a time and shake to cover it with the crumbs.
  4. Put the coated chicken in the baking pan, spray the top of the chicken sligtly with nonstick spray. Bake about 45 minutes -until golden brown.
